IMD 2024 done and dusted

International Men’s Day has once again come and gone, with many good news stories.

One item of note, was for the third year in the row, Mike Gaffney MLC advocated for greater recognition of the day in the Tasmanian Parliament this week. Mike spoke of various interesting events he has hosted and attended, highlighted the value and importance of men’s health projects around the state, and the ongoing need to support men and boys in our community.

You can read the transcript of his speech below, or watch the video.

“Men’s Health Champions” was the theme for this years event, and so MRT announced our inaugural tassie champions. We’re looking forward to sharing more about these quiet achievers from across Tassie in coming days.

Our breakfast was a sell out event where we enjoyed some inspiring stories from various men working in our community. We’re very grateful to RACV Hotel Hobart for their support of the event, and the delicious breakfast to kick start our day.

We’re already starting the planning for our 2025 event, so if you’re interested to get involved, give us a shout and lets work together to make IMD 2025 better than ever.

Thanks to RACV Hotel Hobart for your support.
